NHS independent complaints advocacy. This service provides independent support to assist any adult who. It is a registered charity that is governed by a management board of trustees who are volunteers. Ask for help from an independent advocate.

What is an Independent Mental Capacity Advocate (IMCA)? The Act gives some people who lack capacity a legal right to receive support from an IMCA. Who is the IMCA service for?


The service can help you to say what you want, write letters with you, go to meetings with you and find out information for you. Advocacy is about making sure your voice is heard. This is a new site with many aspects under construction. Our services are free and confidential.

That’s why we run specialist advocacy services across the UK. Our advocates are independent. Supporting people to have better lives can be general support or specific issues such as helping to write a letter or anything in between.
