Who is the youth in youth transition? CASY provides “cradle to college” services to ensure that every child has the chance to grow up in safe, nurturing environments in our community. A youth driven transition plan is developed with all youth ages and older and identifies services for each youth to accomplish goals and to assist them in transitioning from foster care. Aging-out seminars allow youth ages ½ to to meet in interactive groups to learn more about DFPS Transitional Living Services , programs, benefits. Therapeutic Health Services - Rainier Branch. OYDC is an accredited nonpublic school approved by the Mississippi Department of Education that serves both boys and girls. Many of these youth become exposed to risky and traumatic situations, placing them at greater risk for negative outcomes. All three programs are co-educational.

The center provides an intake officer twenty-four hours daily, capable of authorizing placement into detention and shelter. For youth enrolled in secondary school, YES services are recommended to be offered within the two years prior to anticipated exit from high school. YES options are delivered with a focus on the unique concerns and issues of youth and are related to preparing for employment, developing employment related soft skills and obtaining work experience.
