Geriatric emergency medical services

GEMS provides EMS practitioners at all levels with the skills and knowledge to address the unique medical , social, environmental and communications challenges of older adults. GEMS is an exciting curriculum designed specifically to help EMS providers address all of the special needs of the older population. A team of experienced EMS educators and clinicians serving as members of NAEMT’s GEMS Committee has designed a course that prepares EMS practitioners to respond to the unique challenges and needs of an older patient.
